Duties

LHP Engineering Solutions LLC seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in Columbus, Indiana, and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. Duties: contribute to the delivery of innovative, flexible, and integrated embedded system solutions to meet automotive customer requirements and changing business needs specifically related to AUTOSAR, ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) and CAN Communications; apply quality assurance techniques; compile data and define changes required in software and features; conduct software vulnerability assessments of systems; perform root cause analysis, error correction, and functional and risk analysis of system level problems; confirm new software features integrate with system to meet functionality requirements; design and provide technical documents for developed software; design, model, and integrate software functionalities in real-time embedded environment; develop and analyze requirements; develop software and firmware solutions using programming languages; ensure process compliance and configuration management; participate in software reviews and audits; provide technical support, guidance and collaboration for software implementation; work in cross-functional teams across the organization to architect and implement complex solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, electronics and communications engineering, mechatronics engineering, digital systems engineering, or related field, plus 3 years of professional experience in any role in which one or more of the skills listed below were used or developed. Included within the 3 years of experience, must have experience in the following: implementing and verifying software pursuant to safety standards such as ISO 26262; utilizing embedded C to implement AUTOSAR software architecture; configuration of AUTOSAR Stack using a tool such as Vector DaVinci Configurator, AUTOSAR Builder, or similar AUTOSAR configuration tool; communications protocols including CAN; testing tools such as CANOE or CANalyzer; embedded operating systems such as OSEK or RTOS; debugging embedded software utilizing debuggers and emulators; microcontrollers and their architectures; version control and requirements management software such as IBM RTC, Doors, SVN, Jama, Plastic SCM, Polarion, PTC MKS, or IBM IMS.
